OKAMIDEN, I HAS IT.
So I heard that some stores are selling it early (it comes out Tuesday) and moseyed over to the local game shop to find out if this is true. I get there, it isn't listed on the upcoming releases board, and I ask the guy if they have it.
"I... don't even know what it is."
IT IS ONLY THE SEQUEL TO THE BEST GAME EVER, SIR.
"Oh here it is. That'll be $32."
So since the paid peddlers don't even know what Okamiden is, I must tell the internet: it's the DS sequel to Okami, where you play as a puppy sun god. Okami was an amazing game where you got to play Amaterasu, the sun god with art that mimicked classical Japanese woodcuts, and traditional Japanese music-- I wrote my thesis to the OST, in fact, it is that good. It was by far the most gorgeous game that ever came out for the PS2 (and later, the Wii). It was a sleeper hit, met with lots of critical acclaim but made very little money on account of people not knowing about it. The studio that produced it eventually broke up due to lack of moneys because their awesome game did not sell enough. It did well for the Wii, but Clover had disappeared long before that. Now it's produced by Capcom.
Now you, dear reader, are on notice.
