It amazes me how much I hate left aligned writing-- all my papers are justified. All my stories are justified. All my blog posts are justified! Seeing that ragged edge on the right side of the page makes me frown, and makes it even harder to find my place when I get to the next line. It's my little secret to friends when writing papers: most people would rather read a justified page than a left aligned one. That's why everything you read in a published format is justified. A professor may not mark you up for it, but it can't hurt to make your paper as easy to read as possible.

So I wrote my casenote for the write-on competition for law review, and the rules said "left justified" but the example wasn't justified. It was merely left aligned, because it gives an accurate character-per-inch count.

I had to unjustify my beautiful paper and make it look like some tatty pauper dressed in rags.

Oh yeah also I finished the writing competition, haha, oh God. /hyperventilate
