Or aggregates or news sites or wherever you go to find interesting things. I've gotten to the point where I can read up all my usual haunts in about an hour and a half, which doesn't help when I've got 5 hours of boring, boring class and all sorts of downtime.
Item the second: Either bettas are really annoyingly difficult to keep appropriately (or the proucts out there for them are not appropriate, probably more the latter), or I am neurotic. I poked around at a bunch of different pet stores looking for aquariums, and bought a 1.5 cube aquarium that I am not too enamored of (but seeing how they have it set up in the picture makes me go "curses! I should have thought to put the filter there!"). But it should do the job of keeping Angryfish alive and ensuring I don't have to change the water every time because I hate changing water for bettas.
While looking around I saw the Tetra Waterfall Globe but the only reason I didn't buy it is because $50 is a bit rich for my blood. Maybe when I have an office aquarium. But the cube was so "meh" that I considered returning it for the globe anyway.
Then found out that the water produces too much of a current for bettas. Lots of people have bettas in one, but check out the current in this video. Current is part of the reason I didn't put the betta in the Fluval to begin with (well, that and the limited air hole). So it's probably a good thing I didn't buy the stupid thing, because bettas are happy with the current in a bowl, i.e., none at all.
So I wonder, maybe I can just put the betta in the Fluval and stop worrying so much. Then I look at him and he attacks the glass at me. No... I think this guy is going to be forever alone by necessity.
