Things I do not understand
Jun. 4th, 2012 10:24 amCeramic travel cups.
I walked into Papyrus yesterday and spotted these great travel mugs (I am weak to birds and horticultural images, I guess!) and then had to stop myself from buying one because I have too many cups and these cups are ceramic.
I mean, they must be for travel, because they've got silicone tops for spills.
Except they're ceramic, so a little bit of jostling and away the cup goes, smashed on the floor, rendering the top worthless. I'm kind of clumsy but I'm not especially butter-fingered, and I wouldn't trust myself carrying a ceramic mug while juggling a purse/briefcase/whatever else I'm carrying. Even just from my car to the office, let alone on the train.
So what purpose do they serve?
I've been seeing a lot of these ceramic travel cups lately. I could conceivably see it as "I just use the top to keep the drink warm for longer" because I do all sorts of things to prolong my tea's warmth, but they're sold as travel cups! For people on-the-go!
