damselfish | (no subject)

My AC stopped cooling yesterday. The fan works, it's just not making the air cold.

The AC repair guy's truck broke down yesterday, but he would be here by 8:30/9 today! That'd be fine, it's not like I'm dying.

Welp. It's past 1, and no sign of anybody.

It's not actually the heat that's bothering me. It's holding steady at about 84, which I find to be quite tolerable and even kind of comfortable with a fan running. The problem is that I've closed up all my windows to block out the sun (it's been in the nineties, and "feels like" over a hundred so i think 84 is pretty good for no AC) which leaves me stewing in the darkness waiting for the repair guy, and it's making me ridiculously sleepy. I try turning lights on but they produce a lot of heat, so I'm reduced to one CFL lamp on my desk while I limit the electronics I turn on. So I'm watching Fullmetal Alchemist.

All I wanna do is go to bed. But I made the bed, and I don't want to unmake it only to have to make it again for company! Uuuugh. How do most people sleep on couches? ;-;
