Sometimes interruptions are necessary either because of life or because you need to back away and approach the project with a fresh pair of eyes, but man sometimes... you can really tell what came before/after that break and trying to figure out how to make it seamless is looking like an exercise in frustration.
How many novels have you written/edited?
This is the third one I finished! My first one was so terrible I'm never going to look at it again, but the second (Morgan) turned out to be pretty good. This one actually spanned since before the first book so there's definitely bits that're Baby's First Novel and other bits that're somewhat seasoned.
