Merry Christmas and other assorted holiday salutations, but today's Christmas so it's at least merry over here.

Who knew, I actually managed to fit a 7 foot tree in my apartment and it looks really damn good. I'd keep it, but I have nowhere to store it.

Also, see that picture quality? This was taken with my Nikon Coolpix, which is at least four years old. Well say goodbye to that low quality, because for Christmas I got a DSLR!

Important Christmas lesson: when you get something fancy, don't google reviews because you don't know what was best on the market and you're worried that your parents know as little about cameras as you do, because you will learn a couple things.

1) That the camera is one of the best you can buy
2) The price.

Thank you! And yeah I worry sometimes that it's too mismatched because I've seen some... really mismatched trees and they look awful. XD But I can't resist some of those non-ball ones! THAT DEER. I'm such a materialist.

I hope so too with the camera. My dad has an old Pentax almost as old as I am, but the lenses should still be standard and fit....
