I moseyed over to Gelaskins Friday to buy the Cable Cranes skin I decided on, only to find something new and awesome. I'm a little torn, to be honest. As if my classmates didn't already think I was weird. Not that this is a bad thing, I'm pretty undeniably an oddball.

Like the fact that I'm too short for many of the facilities. In all the auditorium rooms with sloping floors and chairs on swinging arms I'm constantly swinging back and forth because I'm too short to brace myself against the floor. The desks in the law library are too high and the chairs too low, which means I'm developing some nasty knots in my back from holding my shoulders too high when I type. I've retreated to the music library, or the general undergrad library, which are also overrun with law students. You'd think we're the only ones who spend 40+ hours a week in libraries or something.

...Oh wait.

Honestly, I'm spending less overall time working than I did in my senior year of college. I come in at 7:30 and leave by 6:30 at the latest, taking no homework with me, and I work Sunday mornings too. Granted I never worked the late shift in college to begin with (my advice for thesising was and still is "get into the comp lab as early as possible and you'll get more work done than if you do an evening shift, even if you only work a few hours rather than half the night," hey, it worked for me and I wrote a great 85 page thesis in about a month) but this whole... being done by dinnertime thing is weird. I almost feel like I'm not working hard enough.

Yeah, I'm going with the cranes. I just imagine it'd look so much sleeker on the mac.
