Jun. 29th, 2012 11:40 amMy angelfish pair spawned for the third time, and I was ready for this rodeo. They've eaten their eggs twice around day 3 despite being attentive parents prior to that point. Since I'm dying to see what the babies of such pretty parents would look like, I decided to raise the fry artificially.
This time, I convinced them to spawn on a slate instead of the filter tube (it was not easy), which I took out and put in an empty 2.5 gallon.
They BIT me! They were guarding the eggs and charged my arm, but hey, they've lost parenting privileges, so I had to get those eggs outta there.
And they bit me.
Those're some fearless fish, y'all.
...And possibly the only pet I've had where I find being bitten kind of endearing.
